An educational book designed to alert Australians to the loss of their Native Animals. It includes 24 Illustrations from Jim Cox, a professional artist and illustrator accompanied by words from Elaine Green an environmental writer and editor. The book, although with a serious agenda, is targeted to both educate and entertain the reader referencing humour and local legends. Jim has long been passionate about Native Wildlife, volunteering his skills for many environmental organisations and local groups. This book hopes to introduce Australians to many animals they do not know and to remind them of those they love but are not currently looking after. It is hoped that this approach may cut through where more scientific/ academic publications have not ... because the extinctions are continuing at an alarming rate. All the animals in this book are beautiful and most would make great companions .. perhaps providing a relationship where we respect their habitat and they enrich ours.
